COVID-19 Response By BCRA

Bangladesh Community Radio Association (BCRA) and supported by The Johns Hopkins University, on behalf of its Bloomberg School of Public Health (”JHSPH”) works with 16 Community Radio in Bangladesh in response of COVID-19. The project started from April 2020 and will continue till 30 September 2020.


Project Title: Provide health education in awareness and prevention of communities from Corona Virus through 16 Community Radio of communities from Corona Virus through 16 Community Radio.


Objective of the project is to develop and broadcast radio PSA’s through 16 community Radio under the leadership of BCRA. 


In this project under BCRA 16 community radios (Radio Boral, Radio Chilmari, Radio Sarabela, Radio Mukti, Radio Jhenuk, Radio Krishi, Radio Lokobetar, Radio Mohananda, Radio Naf, Radio Nalta, Radio Padma, Radio Pollikontho, Radio Sagargiri, Radio Sagardwip, Radio Bikrampur and Radio Meghna) will develop and broadcast programs on health education in awareness and prevention of communities from Corona Virus. BCRA believes CR is by the people and for the people. CE develops programs by the local people in local language addressing the local culture and issues or challenges. and prevention of communities from Corona Virus. Project Activities are:

Activity 1. PSA Develop and On Aring

Activity 2. Conduct community miking in all 16 community radio stations coverage/working areas.

Activity 3. Publish weekly JHU CCP provided audio-visual materials on each of the stations’ Facebook page
