BCRA and UNESCO Jointly Launched an E-Learning Platform

On 21st October 2024, BCRA, with the support of UNESCO Dhaka Office, launched a newly developed e-learning platform on Community Radio, the UN Plan of Action (UNPA) for the Safety of Journalists, and Broadcasting Techniques. This website has been designed for media professionals to equip them with information and lessons on understanding community media and journalism, broadcasting techniques, cybersecurity, the UN Plan of Action (UNPA) on the safety of journalists, issues of impunity, and gender-responsive reporting. On this occasion, Ms. Noore Jannat Proma, Sector Lead, Communication and Information, UNESCO Dhaka Office, Ms. Nusrat Amin, Head of Communications and Public Engagement, UNESCO Dhaka Office, Mr. Aktarul Islam, Communication and Coordination Officer, UNDP, Tamanna Rahman, Activist for Community Media and Executive Director, CDCS, Sayeda Latifa Sharmin, Senior Program Officer, Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs (JHUCCP), Mr. Tareq Mahmud, Communication Specialist, Ms. Sumita Rabidas, Coordinator, BCRA and representatives from Community Radios and FM Radios were present. The event was held at Dnet Centre, Dhaka.
